Dr. Richard Fotter, ESPR president, and I are deep in the midst of planning the 2006 International Pediatric Radiology meeting - the fifth conjoint meeting of ESPR and SPR. This great meeting is held every five years with hosting alternating between our two groups - each of whom serves many of the world's pediatric radiologists.
After a memorable 2001 IPR meeting hosted by ESPR in Paris, the members of the SPR will host the 2006 meeting in Montreal, May 16-20. I ask each of you to help welcome the world's radiologists to North America! Plan now to attend and to submit your abstracts (online at http://www.call4abstracts.com/spr/) by October 20.
Program planning and leadership is shared between the two groups. We operate under the guiding principle that our whole-hearted sharing of research and education is essential to the service of our shared mission - the best possible imaging in the care of the world's children.
Watch both Societies' websites for regular updates on our planning progress. We have much to announce in the coming weeks.
Peace out. Warmest Regards,
George A. Taylor, MD President, The Society for Pediatric Radiology
